Easy Air Fryer Calzones Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup marinara sauce (plus extra for dipping)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni (or your choice of toppings: mushrooms, sausage, veggies)
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut into 4 equal sections.
  3. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on each dough section, leaving edges clear.
  4. Add mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and Italian seasoning (or other favorite toppings).
  5. Fold dough over to form a half-moon shape and pinch edges tightly to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.
  6. Brush tops lightly with olive oil.
  7. Place calzones in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).
  8. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Sprinkle with Parmesan if desired. Serve hot with extra marinara dipping sauce.
