Golden, crispy French fries made in the air fryer with just potatoes, oil, and simple seasonings.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium russet potatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper optional
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder or paprika optional

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing bowl
  • Knife or fry cutter

Method
 

  1. Peel and slice potatoes into thin, even sticks (¼-inch thick).
  2. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Toss fries with olive oil, salt, and seasonings.
  5. Cook in batches for 15–18 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crispy.
  6. Serve hot with ketchup or dipping sauce.

Notes

For best results, cook fries in a single layer. Store leftovers in fridge and reheat in air fryer.
