Method
- Pat chicken breasts dry and pound to even thickness.
- Set up breading station with flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
- Dredge chicken in flour mixture, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. Drizzle or spray with olive oil.
- Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Air fry chicken for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Mix mayonnaise and hot sauce for spicy mayo.
- Assemble sandwiches with buns, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and cooked chicken. Spread spicy mayo on both bun halves.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Adjust spice level in mayo to taste. Ensure chicken is cooked to 165°F for safety.
