Ingredients
  

Steaks
  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks 1–1.5 inches thick
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp olive oil
Garlic Butter
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Small skillet
  • Tongs
  • Meat thermometer

Method
 

  1. Remove steaks from fridge and bring to room temperature for 20–30 minutes. Pat dry and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Brush steaks lightly with olive oil. Place in air fryer basket and cook 8–12 minutes, flipping halfway, depending on desired doneness.
  4. While steaks cook, melt butter in skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, sauté 1–2 minutes, then stir in thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Remove steaks from air fryer and rest 5 minutes.
  6. Top steaks with garlic butter before serving.
  7. Serve immediately with your choice of sides.

Notes

Use meat thermometer for accurate doneness. Optional herbs can be varied.
