Ingredients

Peanut Chocolate Coating
  • 1 cup peanut butter smooth or crunchy
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Wafers
  • 12 sheets rectangular wafer sheets vanilla or chocolate
Optional Topping
  • chopped peanuts for garnish

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler
  • Spatula
  • 8x8-inch baking pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Knife for slicing

Method

  1. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate chips and butter in a microwave-safe bowl or double boiler until smooth.
  3. Stir in peanut butter until fully combined.
  4. Gradually add powdered sugar to the mixture, stirring until smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Place one wafer sheet at the bottom of the prepared pan and spread a thin layer of the peanut chocolate mixture over it.
  6. Repeat layering wafers and peanut chocolate mixture until all sheets are used, ending with a chocolate layer on top.
  7. Sprinkle optional chopped peanuts or drizzle white chocolate over the top.
  8. Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until the chocolate coating is firm.
  9. Lift the layered wafers from the pan using parchment paper and slice into bars or rectangles.

Notes

Use fresh wafers to maintain crispness. A sharp knife or slightly warmed blade helps make clean slices. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
