Method
- Cook bacon until crispy and set aside on paper towels.
- Thinly slice apple and set aside.
- Butter one side of each bread slice.
- Layer cheese, bacon, and apple slices between unbuttered sides of the bread.
- Heat skillet over medium heat and place sandwich butter-side down. Cook 3–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice diagonally, and serve immediately.
Notes
Optional additions include arugula, caramelized onions, or a smear of Dijon mustard. Serve with tomato soup or a small salad for a complete meal.
