Method
- In a large pot or punch bowl, combine apple cider, cranberry juice, orange juice, and pineapple juice (if using). Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.
- Stir in maple syrup or honey to taste. Heat gently over medium heat if serving warm, but do not boil.
- If serving cold, allow mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 1–2 hours.
- Slice the orange and lemon thinly. Add fresh cranberries to the punch for garnish.
- Serve cold over ice with fruit slices, adding a splash of sparkling water for fizz if desired.
- For warm punch, heat gently and serve in mugs, garnished with orange slices, cranberries, and a cinnamon stick.
- Optional: Add apple slices or pomegranate seeds for extra flavor. Rim glasses with cinnamon sugar for festive presentation.
Notes
Can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Frozen fruit can double as ice cubes to keep the punch cold without diluting flavors.
