- Bake 28-34 minutes, then cool completely.
- Beat butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt; add blackberry puree.
- Assemble and frost cake, garnish with fresh blackberries.
Notes
For deeper gothic color, add black cocoa or gel coloring.
