Ingredients
  

  • 10 cups popped popcorn plain, no butter
  • 2 cups white chocolate or candy melts melted
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 4-6 drops red food coloring gel recommended
  • 2 tbsp light corn syrup or honey for glaze
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Spread popped popcorn on a parchment-lined baking sheet, removing unpopped kernels.
  2. Melt white chocolate in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  3. Stir in cocoa powder, powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and red food coloring until mixture is blood-red.
  4. Drizzle mixture over popcorn and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Drizzle warmed corn syrup over coated popcorn for a glossy, bloody look.
  6. Let sit for 20 minutes to harden, then serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Add candy eyeballs or dark chocolate drizzle for extra creepiness. Store airtight for up to 4 days.
