Cajun Steak Tips in Cheesy Parmesan Rigatoni

Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 500 g steak tips sirloin or ribeye, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter for steak
Pasta
  • 300 g rigatoni
Cheese Sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter for sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1/4 cup pasta water reserved, optional
Garnish
  • to taste fresh parsley chopped
  • to taste Parmesan cheese extra, for garnish

Equipment

Method
 

  1. Cut steak into bite-sized pieces; season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let rest 10–15 minutes.
  2. Boil rigatoni in salted water until al dente; drain, reserving ½ cup pasta water.
  3. Heat butter in a skillet; sear steak tips 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Melt butter in the same skillet; sauté garlic 30 seconds. Add heavy cream and simmer 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in Parmesan until melted; add rigatoni and toss to coat.
  6. Return steak tips to the skillet; add reserved pasta water if needed. Simmer 1–2 minutes.
  7. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan; serve immediately.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for best results. Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for spice level.
