Ingredients
  

Banana Bread Base
  • 3 ripe bananas mashed
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp espresso powder
Caramel Drizzle
  • 0.5 cup caramel sauce homemade or store-bought
Optional Topping
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 tsp crushed espresso beans for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash ripe bananas in a large bowl until mostly smooth.
  3. Add melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients gently until just combined.
  6. Optional: fold in chopped nuts for added texture.
  7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 60–70 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool loaf 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to wire rack.
  10. Drizzle caramel sauce over warm bread and garnish with crushed espresso beans.

Notes

For extra flavor, dissolve espresso powder in 1 tsp hot water before adding to batter.
