Ingredients
  

Crescent Dough & Filling
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough 8 oz
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 12 pepperoni slices or mini olives for vegetarian option
  • 1 tsp dried Italian herbs optional
  • 1 egg beaten for egg wash
Optional Garnish
  • black olive slices, red bell pepper, fresh parsley or chives

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • Brush for egg wash

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles.
  3. Sprinkle cheese on each triangle and place a slice of pepperoni near the wide end.
  4. Roll crescent from wide end to tip to form a cone shape. Pinch tip lightly to secure.
  5. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle Italian herbs if desired.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
  7. Garnish with optional ingredients and serve warm.

Notes

These crescents are best served warm. Leftovers can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes to retain crispiness.
