- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Pound chicken breasts to ½-inch thickness between plastic wrap.
- Place ham and cheese on each breast, roll tightly, and secure with toothpicks.
- Set up breading stations with flour, beaten eggs, and seasoned bread crumbs.
- Dredge chicken in flour, dip in eggs, then coat in bread crumbs.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- Meanwhile, prepare sauce: melt butter in saucepan, whisk in flour to form roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk, cook until thickened, then stir in Swiss cheese and Dijon.
- Season sauce with salt and pepper.
- Serve chicken cordon bleu drizzled with cheese sauce and garnish with parsley.
Notes
Secure chicken with toothpicks and remove before serving. Rest chicken for 5 minutes before slicing to keep cheese inside.
