Hot Dogs
  • 6 hot dog sausages beef, pork, or choice
  • 6 hot dog buns lightly toasted
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chili homemade or canned
  • 0.5 cup diced onions
Optional Toppings
  • jalapeños, sour cream, mustard, pickles as desired

Method
 

  1. Prepare chili if making from scratch: sauté onion and garlic, brown ground beef, add tomato sauce, spices, and simmer 10–15 minutes.
  2. Cook hot dogs by boiling, grilling, or pan-frying until fully cooked.
  3. Toast hot dog buns lightly.
  4. Place hot dogs in buns, spoon chili generously on top, sprinkle cheddar and diced onions, add optional toppings.
  5. Serve immediately with sides like fries or chips.

Notes

For extra cheesy goodness, broil for 1–2 minutes to melt cheese perfectly.
