Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Slice croissants into halves or thirds. Layer in dish with chocolate chips.
- Whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Pour over croissants.
- Let soak 15–20 minutes for croissants to absorb custard.
- Cover loosely with foil and bake 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until golden.
- Cool 5–10 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar or top with berries/chocolate drizzle before serving.
Notes
Assemble the night before for a make-ahead breakfast. Serve warm for best texture.
