Method
- Preheat oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix grated carrots, mashed banana, coconut oil, and egg in a bowl.
- Add oat flour and stir until a soft dough forms. Add water if dough is too dry.
- Divide dough in half and add beet powder to one half for color.
- Roll each dough portion into long thin ropes.
- Twist plain and colored ropes together to form candy cane patterns.
- Bend the top to form a hook shape and place on baking sheet.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until firm and slightly dry.
- Cool completely before giving to your dog.
Notes
Perfect for gifting. Store in airtight container for 1 week or freeze up to 3 months. Do not add chocolate, nutmeg, or raisins.
