Crack Green Beans
  • 2 lbs green beans fresh or canned, drained
  • 6-8 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • red pepper flakes optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place green beans in a baking dish and top with crumbled bacon.
  3. Whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  4. Pour the glaze evenly over the beans and bacon.
  5. Bake uncovered for 30–40 minutes until the glaze is thick and glossy.
  6. Stir before serving and garnish with extra bacon if desired.

Notes

Canned beans work well for convenience; fresh beans give a firmer texture. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Perfect for holidays, potlucks, or weeknight dinners.
