Method
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic; sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine, scraping up browned bits.
- Stir in parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer 3–5 minutes until sauce thickens. Adjust seasoning.
- Return chicken to the skillet. Spoon sauce over chicken and simmer 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot over pasta, rice, or vegetables.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for best flavor. Sauce can be made ahead and reheated before adding chicken.
