Creamy Honey Pepper Chicken Mac and Cheese Delight

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni or pasta of choice
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 chicken breasts cut into bite-sized pieces
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika optional
  • fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In skillet, heat olive oil. Season chicken with salt and pepper, cook until golden. Drizzle with honey and toss until glazed. Remove and set aside.
  3. In same pan, melt butter. Whisk in flour, cooking 1 minute.
  4. Slowly whisk in milk and cream. Simmer until thickened.
  5. Stir in cheeses, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until creamy.
  6. Add pasta and chicken to sauce. Stir to coat evenly.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley and extra black pepper.

Notes

For crispy topping, add breadcrumbs and bake. Adjust honey and pepper for personal taste balance.
