- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and reserve ½ cup pasta water.
- Heat olive oil in skillet over medium heat. Brown Italian sausage, breaking into pieces. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté onions and garlic in the same skillet until soft and fragrant.
- Add heavy cream, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
- Return sausage to skillet and toss with fettuccine, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Adjust seasoning and serve with fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, add mushrooms or spinach. Serve immediately for best creaminess.
