  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated

Method
 

  1. Melt butter and sauté garlic in medium saucepan.
  2. Stir in flour to make a smooth roux.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk and cream until smooth.
  4. Simmer 3–5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Stir in Parmesan and season with salt, pepper, and optional herbs.

Use immediately or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
