Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together in a medium bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Mix in green gel coloring until desired shade is achieved.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture to form soft dough.
- Roll dough into balls, coat in powdered sugar, and place on baking sheets.
- Add a red heart sprinkle to each cookie.
- Bake 9–11 minutes until edges are set. Cool before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in airtight containers at room temperature for up to 5 days. Dough can be frozen for up to 2 months.
