Crispy Chicken Wonton Tacos

Ingredients
  

Chicken Filling
  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
Taco Assembly
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Monterey Jack
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • 1 lime cut into wedges
  • cooking spray or oil for baking or frying

Equipment

  • Muffin tin
  • Baking sheet
  • Knife

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add shredded chicken, garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Cook 3–5 minutes until heated through.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin. Press wonton wrappers into cups to form taco shells.
  3. Spray or brush wonton shells with oil. Bake 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy, or fry 1–2 minutes per side until crispy.
  4. Fill each shell with seasoned chicken, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and avocado slices.
  5. Drizzle with sour cream, squeeze lime over tacos, and serve immediately.

Notes

Assemble tacos just before serving to keep shells crisp.
