Crock Pot Cranberry Butter

Silky slow cooker cranberry butter made with fresh cranberries, orange zest, and warm spices.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz cranberries fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 1 orange zest from one orange
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 0.25 tsp ground cloves optional
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Equipment

  • Slow cooker
  • Immersion blender or blender
  • Mixing spoon

Method
 

  1. Add all ingredients to slow cooker and stir.
  2. Cook on LOW 6–7 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours.
  3. Remove cinnamon stick and blend until smooth.
  4. Cook uncovered until thickened.
  5. Cool and store.

Notes

Thickness increases as cranberry butter cools.
