- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Gradually mix into wet ingredients.
- Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until edges are set. Cool completely on wire racks.
- Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until creamy.
- Spread frosting over cooled cookies and serve.
