Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.25 cups brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup unsweetened dark cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semisweet or dark chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon balls and place on baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  8. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer to wire rack.

Notes

Slightly underbaking ensures fudgy centers. Store in an airtight container up to 5 days.
