Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract.
- Whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon balls and place on baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
- Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
Slightly underbaking ensures fudgy centers. Store in an airtight container up to 5 days.
