- Wash and scrub potatoes well, then pat dry with a towel.
- Pierce each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape.
- Rub potatoes with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.
- Place potatoes in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check doneness by piercing with a fork—the insides should be soft and fluffy.
- Cut open, fluff with a fork, and top with butter, sour cream, cheese, and chives.
- Serve hot and enjoy your perfectly crispy baked potatoes!
Notes
For an extra crispy skin, rub with coarse salt before cooking. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for best texture.
