Method
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Sprinkle in flour and whisk for 1 minute to form a roux.
- Gradually add milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
- Stir in heavy cream and continue whisking until smooth.
- Add parmesan, salt, pepper, onion powder, and nutmeg; stir until melted.
- Simmer gently for 3–5 minutes until desired thickness is reached.
- Remove from heat, stir in fresh parsley, and serve immediately or store in airtight container.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, add 1 extra tablespoon of flour. For thinner sauce, add 2–3 tbsp more milk.
