- Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.
- In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter.

- Fill wells of muffin tin three-quarters full.
- Bake 10–12 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Cool slightly before removing and serve with syrup.
