Ingredients
  

Cajun Chicken Filling
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion small, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper small, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
Sandwich Assembly
  • 4 sandwich buns toasted
  • optional toppings shredded cheese, lettuce, pickles

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic 3–4 minutes until softened.
  2. Add ground chicken and cook until no longer pink, breaking into small pieces.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Spoon chicken mixture onto toasted buns. Add optional toppings.
  5. Serve immediately with preferred sides.

Notes

Can adjust spice level with additional Cajun seasoning or cayenne pepper.
