Ingredients
  

Jalapeños & Filling
  • 10 jalapeño peppers halved and seeds removed
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Optional Topping
  • 0.5 cup breadcrumbs panko or regular
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese grated
Optional Add-Ons
  • 4 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tbsp chives or parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice jalapeños in half lengthwise, removing seeds and membranes.
  3. Mix cream cheese, cheddar, garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl until creamy.
  4. Spoon mixture into jalapeño halves, pressing down gently.
  5. Mix breadcrumbs, melted butter, and Parmesan. Sprinkle over filled jalapeños.
  6. Bake 18–20 minutes until cheese is bubbly and jalapeños are tender.
  7. Top with bacon and fresh chives before serving.

Notes

Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid irritation. For extra spice, leave some seeds in.
