Ingredients

Fries
  • 4 large russet potatoes peeled or unpeeled, cut into sticks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper freshly cracked
  • 1 tbsp truffle oil
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
Optional Seasonings & Garnishes
  • ½ tsp garlic powder optional
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Baking sheet or air fryer basket
  • Mixing bowl
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring spoons
  • Spatula or tongs

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) or prepare your air fryer according to manufacturer instructions.
  2. Cut potatoes into even sticks and soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
  3. Drain and pat potatoes dry with a clean towel.
  4. Toss the potato sticks in olive oil, salt, black pepper, and optional garlic powder.
  5. Arrange fries in a single layer on a baking sheet or in an air fryer basket.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, or air fry for 15–20 minutes until golden and crispy.
  7. Transfer fries to a large bowl while hot. Drizzle with truffle oil and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Sprinkle freshly grated parmesan cheese over the fries and gently toss.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve immediately for a warm, indulgent snack.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double-bake or double-fry the fries. Serve with garlic aioli, truffle mayo, or spicy ketchup for dipping. Leftovers can be reheated in the oven or air fryer.
