  • 1 pizza dough pizza dough 12–14 inches, homemade or store-bought
  • 1 whole garlic bulb
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded provolone cheese optional
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp chopped rosemary
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • fresh basil leaves for garnish
  • optional toppings cherry tomatoes, caramelized onions, or arugula

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the garlic bulb, drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 35–40 minutes until soft.
  2. Allow garlic to cool slightly, then squeeze cloves into a small bowl and mash into a paste.
  3. Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread mashed roasted garlic evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Drizzle remaining olive oil over the garlic layer.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, and provolone cheeses evenly over the pizza.
  7. Add fresh thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper to taste.
  8. Bake for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
  9. Remove pizza from oven and let cool 2–3 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and optional toppings before slicing and serving.

Notes

Optional: drizzle with balsamic glaze or chili flakes for extra flavor. Can use store-bought dough for faster preparation.
