Ingredients
  

Pinwheels
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 0.5 cup fig jam
  • 4 oz goat cheese softened
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • black pepper pinch
  • 1 egg for egg wash

  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Roll puff pastry to smooth creases.
  3. Spread fig jam evenly over pastry.
  4. Add goat cheese evenly across jam.
  5. Drizzle honey, sprinkle thyme and black pepper.
  6. Roll pastry tightly into a log.
  7. Freeze log for 10 minutes.
  8. Slice into ½-inch pinwheels.
  9. Brush with egg wash and bake 15–18 minutes.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Add prosciutto for a savory variation. Pinwheels can be prepared ahead and frozen before baking.
