Ingredients
  

Cookies
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Optional Topping
  • whipped cream or marshmallow fluff
  • mini chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoons onto prepared baking sheets.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool on sheets 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  8. Optional: Top with whipped cream or marshmallow fluff and sprinkle with mini chocolate shavings or cocoa.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.
