- Cook rice in chicken broth according to package instructions, then let sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink.
- Add remaining butter and minced garlic to skillet, sauté 1–2 minutes.
- Add lemon juice and zest, then return shrimp to skillet and toss in garlic butter sauce.
- Add cooked rice, gently mix, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
For more flavor, add a pinch of smoked paprika to the shrimp seasoning. Optional vegetables can be sautéed alongside shrimp.
