Steak & Potatoes
  • 1.5 lb steak sirloin or ribeye
  • 2 lb potatoes thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven and prepare baking dish.
  2. Season potatoes and arrange in baking dish.
  3. Sear steak briefly and slice into pieces.
  4. Melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Layer potatoes, steak, cheese, and garlic butter.
  6. Pour cream over layers and cover.
  7. Bake until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

Let rest 5 minutes before serving. Add herbs for freshness.
