Method
- Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, spoon over steaks for 1–2 minutes.
- Remove steaks and rest on a plate loosely covered with foil.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, add butter and heavy cream. Stir in Parmesan and garlic powder until sauce thickens.
- Season sauce with salt and pepper, pour over steaks, garnish with parsley, and serve.
Notes
Steak can be brought to room temperature before cooking for even doneness.
