Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 2 ribeye steaks about 10 oz each
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
Parmesan Cream Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

  1. Pat steaks dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, spoon over steaks for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Remove steaks and rest on a plate loosely covered with foil.
  5. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low, add butter and heavy cream. Stir in Parmesan and garlic powder until sauce thickens.
  6. Season sauce with salt and pepper, pour over steaks, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

Steak can be brought to room temperature before cooking for even doneness.
