Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Whisk flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves in a bowl.
- Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, molasses, and vanilla.
- Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until dough forms.
- Roll dough into balls, coat in granulated sugar then powdered sugar.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until cracked and set.
Notes
Do not overbake for best soft texture.
