- Rinse the cranberries thoroughly and discard any soft or bruised berries.
- In a medium saucepan, combine water, orange juice, sugar, and salt. Heat on medium until sugar dissolves.
- Add cranberries and bring the mixture to a low boil, then reduce to a simmer.
- Stir in cinnamon stick and orange zest. Simmer for 10–12 minutes until cranberries pop and the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in Grand Marnier until fully incorporated.
- Add vanilla extract if desired for additional warmth and flavor.
- Let sauce cool for 20–30 minutes to thicken further.
- Transfer to a serving dish or jar. Garnish with additional orange zest and chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week in the refrigerator. For extra flavor, serve slightly warmed or add a touch of orange zest before serving.
