Ingredients
  

Lemon Brownies
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 eggs large
  • 2 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Lemon Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp milk optional for thinner glaze

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, lemon juice, and zest.
  3. Fold in flour and salt until smooth.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until lightly golden.
  5. Cool completely before glazing.
  6. Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and spread over brownies.

Notes

For stronger lemon flavor, increase zest to 3 tablespoons. Store covered at room temperature for 3 days.
