Chocolate Cake Base
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar packed
  • 2 eggs large
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.5 cup milk
Peanut Butter Swirl
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Mix melted butter with sugars until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  4. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add milk and mix until a thick batter forms.
  6. Spread batter into prepared dish.
  7. Mix peanut butter with powdered sugar until smooth.
  8. Drop spoonfuls over batter and gently swirl.
  9. Bake until edges are set and center is gooey.
  10. Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
