Ingredients
  

Pudding Base
  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 0.5 cup whole milk
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of cinnamon
Optional Toppings
  • whipped cream for serving

Method
 

  1. Whisk together eggnog, milk, sugar, and cornstarch in a saucepan.
  2. Add egg yolks and whisk until fully combined.
  3. Cook over medium heat while whisking constantly.
  4. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens into pudding consistency.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  6. Strain for extra smooth texture if desired.
  7. Divide into serving bowls and cover surface with plastic wrap.
  8. Chill 1–2 hours until set.

Notes

For extra richness, use a combination of heavy cream and milk. Serve chilled with whipped cream.
