Ingredients
  

Chicken & Marinade
  • 1.5 lbs chicken breasts or thighs
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 1 lime zest from 1 lime
  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili flakes optional
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
For Cooking & Garnish
  • 1 tbsp butter optional
  • lime slices for serving
  • fresh cilantro chopped

Method
 

  1. Pat chicken dry and place in a shallow dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk honey, lime juice, zest, garlic, oil, paprika, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour marinade over chicken and marinate 20–30 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet with a little oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes per side.
  6. Pour remaining marinade into skillet and simmer to thicken.
  7. Add butter for extra shine and richness if desired.
  8. Cook until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Rest 5 minutes, then garnish with cilantro and lime slices.

Notes

Use thighs for juicier results. Add extra honey for a stickier glaze or extra lime for brightness.
