Ingredients
  

Cookie Dough
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg large
  • 1 egg yolk large
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 cup holiday sprinkles

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
  5. Mix in dry ingredients, then add milk.
  6. Shape dough into balls and roll in sprinkles.
  7. Bake 9–11 minutes, then cool on rack.

Notes

For extra festive flair, dip half the cookie in melted white chocolate.
