Ingredients
  

Beef Marinade & Rice Bowl
  • 1 lb steak ribeye, sirloin, or flank, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 2 cups cooked white or jasmine rice
  • optional steamed vegetables carrots, broccoli, bell peppers

  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons

Method
 

  1. Slice steak thinly and combine with soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and green onions. Marinate at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear marinated beef 2–3 minutes per side until browned and caramelized.
  4. Place cooked rice in bowls. Top with cooked steak.
  5. Drizzle with any remaining marinade, sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
  6. Add optional steamed vegetables if desired.
  7. Serve hot immediately.

Notes

For best results, marinate overnight. Can be stored in fridge for meal prep and reheated gently.
