Ingredients
  

Grinder Dressing
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • salt and black pepper to taste
Grinder Salad Slaw
  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 0.5 red onion thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes chopped
  • 0.5 cup banana peppers sliced
Sandwich Assembly
  • 4 sub rolls toasted if desired
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 8 slices Genoa salami
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 8 slices turkey breast
  • 8 slices pepperoni

Method
 

  1. Whisk together grinder dressing ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Toss shredded lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and banana peppers in the dressing.
  3. Slice and toast sub rolls if desired.
  4. Layer provolone, salami, ham, turkey, and pepperoni on rolls.
  5. Top with generous spoonfuls of grinder salad slaw.
  6. Close sandwich, slice in half, and serve immediately.

Notes

Best served fresh. Grinder salad can be prepped 1 day ahead and kept refrigerated. Great for parties and game day spreads.
