Method
- Activate yeast in warm milk with sugar, then mix with egg, butter, flour, and salt to form dough.
- Knead until smooth, then let rise 1 hour.
- Mix filling ingredients until combined.
- Roll dough into rectangle, spread filling, roll into log.
- Place in loaf pan, rise 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–40 minutes until golden.
Notes
For extra richness, add bacon bits or mix mozzarella into the filling. Serve warm for best texture.
