Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup orzo pasta uncooked
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1.5 cups lemon juice fresh
  • 2.5 cups chicken broth
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese grated

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Season shrimp with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Sear shrimp in olive oil until just cooked, then remove.
  3. Add butter and garlic to the skillet and sauté briefly.
  4. Toast orzo for 1–2 minutes.
  5. Add broth and lemon juice and simmer until orzo is tender.
  6. Stir in parmesan and return shrimp to the pan.

Notes

Best served fresh; add broth when reheating.
