Ingredients
  

Tortellini & Sauté
  • 1 lb cheese tortellini fresh or frozen
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper
Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp crushed red pepper optional
  • fresh basil or parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and optional red pepper flakes for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add optional cooked chicken or shrimp and heat through.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, broth, butter, garlic powder, and Parmesan. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Add cooked tortellini to the sauce, tossing to coat evenly.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley.
  7. Serve immediately with garlic bread or salad.

Notes

Use fresh tortellini for best results. Add extra Parmesan for richer flavor. Serve immediately for a creamy texture.
